Verified review - view originalThe Umbrella is great though I mainly use it as a heavy duty cane with the benefit of having a super handy very nicely built umbrella built right in. On using the “NTOI® Unbreakable® Umbrella” for self defense, it’s better than nothing at all, but, as an umbrella/ cane it’s top notch and very sturdy.
Of course, if umbrella/ cane combat were my thing I’d carry a solid hickory cane and get wet in the rain or opt for one of the collapsible Unbreakable Umbrella baton models and do without the cane.
Either way, all quality products offered here.

Thank you for creating such an excellent product. The people around me have really taken a liking to this umbrella. It’s the perfect solution for those who worry about their umbrellas easily getting ruined by heavy rain. Every time someone asks about the brand of the umbrella, I’m more than happy to recommend this one. It seems like everyone wants this product whenever they see its introduction video or pictures!

When I first heard about the U-303, I was immediately interested as I was familiar with the previous version. I’ll admit I was initially a little hesitant when I saw it needed to be assembled, but now that I’ve done it, it makes sense and I understand why they chose to offer it that way. The user needs to understand and appreciate how it works. Should it ever need maintenance, the tools provided will serve you well. I took my time with the videos and they told me everything I needed to know. Pay particular attention to those parts that explain about expanding and collapsing the shafts after use. If you open it aggressively, as you would a collapsible baton, you’ll probably need to unscrew the knob and utilize the mechanism to collapse it. No biggie! That should be least of your problems should you need it for protection. Opening it more gradually like a telescope for weather or whatnot will allow you to collapse it with less effort. Once it’s open, it’s a solid unit! The shaft used for striking is strong and won’t collapse. While slightly heavier than previous models, the trade-off is well worth it. I haven’t traveled with it yet, but the previous model negotiated TSA and Customs without question. This feels heftier, but not alarmingly so, in my opinion. It fits a bottle carrier on a day pack well and blends right in. It’s become an instant, indispensable part of my kit!

I really like the way you take 4 basic takedowns and apply them to a variety of situations. Keep it simple. I like it. This video is better than I hoped for. It is very professionally done.

A lot of self defense materials claim to be instinctive and simple and aren’t. This really is instinctive, I’ve seen a lot of instruction, and a lot of real fight footage, from MMA to YouTube fights and I didn’t think “this is unrealistic” once. This is an incredibly dense dvd, I have genuinely never seen anything like it. Don’t let the “old” production values fool you, the quality is outstanding and the men and women are real martial artists from a real competitive full contact martial art, Olympic Judo. There’s no standing around a compliant partner, there’s no reliance on extreme athletic abilities, this is what real Judo and real Jiu Jitsu was created for.
Thanks for creating this, it makes sense and is accessible. It’s a crying shame it isn’t better known.

I like the way you use several weapons with similar moves, easy to learn but practically impossible to counter. Good for any situation. Again, keep it simple. It is an excellent product.

Dear Unbreakables,
I just purchased the “Unbreakable Walking Stick Umbrella” with the hooked handle.
I love it… or would love it, if I weren’t so darned short!! It’s really quite long (high) for me. I am also wanting to use it as a walking stick/cane, and it’s just too long for me. ?
Might you make a version that is shorter?
