Self-Defense Tip 82 In a Confrontation Don’t, Part III

When in a confrontation . . .

Stay out of assailants’ easy range

Don’t be an easy target — don’t get into an easy range. Get out of the way of potential assailants. If you see a bunch of thugs, give them a wide berth. If they move toward you anyway, you will have a head start running away or getting ready to fight for your life. Don’t just stay and wonder “will they let me be” as they approach. See what happened to one fellow who thought just like that:

To learn how your natural reactions can instantly defeat any unarmed attack, see the video Basic Instincts of Self-Defense.

Defend Against Weapons

Self-Defense: Tools of Attack DVD

To defend against weapons you have to know how they are used. Also — every stick has two ends … the weapon of attack may become a weapon of defense in your hand …

To learn how the typical street weapons (club, knife, razor) are used by an experienced streetfighter and how to practice with them, see the video Self-Defense: Tools of Attack — Club, Hatchet, Blackjack, Knife, Straight Razor.

  1. Hi,

Not sure that video was the best illustration for this thesis tbh… the guy (a newspaper seller in London) was just walking home from work before inadvertently stumbling into a political demonstration that he was not part of. He was heading AWAY from Police when one of the officers decided to give him a shove – there was no reason for the victim (he died later) to believe the Police were any threat to his person.
