Don’t guess in self-defense, not about your weapon, not about your skill
Below is an example of a guess. View it and then read the rest of this self-defense tip.
Review of the Unbreakable® Walking-Stick Umbrella with a Rubber Tip and a Guess on Self-Defense (Coconuts Were Harmed)
What nonsense, this taking the rubber tip off in an emergency. Should I be sad people this sheltered or this thoughtless buy my products, or should I be glad I don’t associate with any such? What do you think? Leave a comment.
BTW, read the lesson below:
Don’t guess about your weapon, don’t guess about your skill. Know!
A fight is no time for guessing — it ain’t a friendly sparring. Know yourself and your weapons because your enemy will provide enough unknowns.
Don’t guess, don’t hope. Practice!
Practice tested, reliable fighting skills. For long blunt weapons, such as walking canes or Unbreakable® Walking-Stick Umbrella, Ray Floro’s Essential Umbrella/Cane System, which builds upon Floro Fighting Systems’ Dos Manos (Two-Handed) system, can’t be beat. For short blunt weapons, like batons, collapsible umbrellas, rolled newspapers, Essential Military Stick 2 is best (see Self-Defense Tip #122). If you learn either one of those two systems, no rubber tip will get in your way of defending yourself or smashing whatever needs to be smashed. Below are brief trailers for online video courses teaching those systems.

Self-Defense Moves
For your defense moves to work under stress they must be based on your natural, instinctive reactions, require little strength and limited range of motion, and be proven in fighting experience. To learn how your natural reactions can instantly defeat any unarmed attack, see the video Basic Instincts of Self-Defense.
Defend Against Weapons
To defend against weapons you have to know how they are used. Also — every stick has two ends … the weapon of attack may become a weapon of defense in your hand …To learn how the typical street weapons (club, knife, razor) are used by an experienced streetfighter and how to practice with them, see the video Self-Defense: Tools of Attack — Club, Hatchet, Blackjack, Knife, Straight Razor.
Mental Toughness
Staying cool under pressure is more important for self-defense than being physically fit and technically skilled. If you can’t control your mind what can you control? To learn mental techniques that let you calmly face any threat and act rationally in the heat of a fight, click here.
